Fandemand is a digital platform that enables users to connect their online activities, creating a comprehensive digital footprint that can be translated into value. By leveraging their digital footprint, users can acquire goods and services on the Fandemand marketplace, gaining access to experiences and products they have always wanted. With a focus on sports and music fans, Fandemand seeks to become a household name among millions of users worldwide, empowering individuals to leverage their own data and create new opportunities for themselves.

ROLE & IMPACT

As the lead graphic designer tasked with creating the UX/UI designs as well as branding Β for Fandemand's mobile application, I recognize the significance of ensuring a seamless user experience and visually appealing interface for our users. With the amazing help of my graphic design intern and marketing intern we worked very closely on this project and had weekly meetings with our CEO to ensure we brought his vision to life. With a target audience of sports and music fans, I understand the importance of catering to their specific needs and preferences. My main focus would be on creating a user-friendly interface that allows for easy navigation and a simple way for users to connect their online activities to the Fandemand marketplace. I am aware of the impact of creating a visually appealing design that aligns with Fandemand's brand identity, which will contribute to establishing the company as a household name. As a designer, my role was very significant in shaping Fandemand's user experience, ensuring it meets the needs of our target audience, and achieving the company's ultimate goal of bridging the gap between traditional marketplaces and individuals who may be unable to participate in current markets.

PROBLEM

Building trust with users regarding the collection and use of their personal data.
As the platform aims to leverage users' digital footprints to offer them goods and services, users must be willing to share their online activities with the platform. Fandemand must ensure that users' personal data is protected and used ethically to build and maintain user trust. Another challenge is establishing a solid user base and brand recognition in a highly competitive market. Fandemand must create a unique value proposition to stand out among other marketplaces and attract users to its platform. Additionally, the platform must continually adapt to user needs and preferences to remain relevant and valuable to its target audience.

What we discovered through this research can be used to improve the user experience of Fandemand's mobile application. For instance, the secondary research may reveal the preferences of sports and music fans and inform design decisions. The A/B testing can reveal which design and functionality are most effective and appealing to users. The usability testing can identify usability issues, such as difficulties navigating the app or confusion around certain features, which can be addressed through design modifications or additional features. Overall, these research methods can help Fandemand better understand their users and tailor their application to meet their needs, preferences, and expectations.

Firstly, we conducted a thorough analysis of existing data and research on the digital marketplace, sports and music fans, and user behavior by studying market research reports, industry publications, academic journals, and online sources. This provided us with valuable insights on the target audience's preferences and behaviors, as well as the current trends and challenges in the digital marketplace.

Next, we created different versions of Fandemand's mobile application and tested them with a sample of users using A/B testing to determine which design and functionality worked best. We measured key performance indicators such as user engagement, click-through rates, and conversion rates to determine which version performed better. This helped us identify which design and functionality resonated more with users and informed our decisions on the final design.
