FASTPASS improves the speed, delivery and experience for residents and visitors. FASTPASS ensures accuracy and efficiency for Governments in managing arrivals and departures through its borders. The mobile application supports a seamless entry process while maintaining the highest level of security for goods imported and health management. Supporting the relevant Ministries, FASTPASS, the one mobile app, is responsible for tracking and registering important government documents (Ex: Travel Visas, Passports, Health & Safety (vaccine) monitoring and much more).
As one of two graphic designers for the course of this project, designing a website for FASTPASS was critical to communicate the benefits and importance of this mobile application. The website needs to showcase how FASTPASS improves the speed, delivery, and experience for residents and visitors by ensuring accuracy and efficiency for Governments in managing arrivals and departures through its borders. It should highlight the mobile application's ability to support a seamless entry process while maintaining the highest level of security for goods imported and health management. The website should also emphasize how FASTPASS supports relevant Ministries by tracking and registering important government documents, such as travel visas, passports, health and safety monitoring, and much more. Overall, a well-designed website can have a significant impact by increasing awareness and adoption of FASTPASS, which ultimately enhances travel safety and efficiency for all users.

A website should be easy to navigate and use. It should be designed with the end-user in mind so that they can easily find what they are looking for and complete tasks without difficulty.
A website should be accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This means designing with accessibility features in mind, such as providing alternative text for images or captions for videos.
A website should be visually appealing and engaging to users. This includes choosing appropriate colours, fonts, and images that are aesthetically pleasing and reinforce the brand identity.
A website should load quickly and perform well, providing a seamless experience for users. This means optimizing images and other media, and ensuring that the website is responsive and adaptable to different screen sizes and devices.
Given the variety of features and benefits of FASTPASS, there is a risk of presenting too much information on the website, which can be overwhelming for users. To overcome this problem, the website should be designed with a clear information architecture that organizes information in a logical and intuitive way. This could involve breaking down information into categories or using visual aids such as infographics to simplify complex information.
Since FASTPASS is responsible for tracking and registering important government documents, there may be concerns about the security of user information. To address these concerns, the website should provide clear information about the security measures in place to protect user data, such as encryption or multi-factor authentication. It may also be helpful to provide testimonials or endorsements from reputable sources to build trust with users.
While FASTPASS is designed to improve accessibility for users, there may be barriers to access for some individuals, such as those with disabilities or those without access to smartphones or the internet. To address this problem, the website should be designed with accessibility features in mind, such as providing alternative text for images or captions for videos. Additionally, it may be helpful to provide alternative ways for users to access the service, such as through phone or in-person support for those who cannot access the app digitally.
Using a sitemap for visual presentation of the website. It provides a full overview, which then will aid in simplifying, trimming off unnecessary pages, and keeping whatβs important. Using the site map, I identified what content fits together and what may disturb user flow within the FastPass website.
I used brainstorming solutions as a creative problem-solving technique where I sketched screens and create mockups to generate ideas and solutions to begin building out the website. During brainstorming, I engaged in a free-flowing discussion with my creative team where everyone shared their thoughts and ideas without any judgment or criticism. My goal was to generate a wide range of ideas and perspectives to identify the most effective solution to this problem.
The mobile application operates by digitizing and organizing passenger information before arrival. FASTPASS ensures that travellers are always following the proper procedures and systems set in place, specifically relating to Immigration Border Control and Health Management Systems.
The country of Bermuda is the first Government Partner for FASTPASS. The phases for FASTPASS Bermuda deployment are proceeding on schedule. The expected deployment is set for 2022. FASTPASS is pleased to have also established local partnerships/companies in the countries of Kenya and Tanzania. FASTPASS Light was formulated as a solution to the expansion of FASTPASS and the adoption of new Government policies. FASTPASS Light and FASTPASS differ primarily in their Ministry integration capabilities and document collection processes. Β
